In short: in Europe Deye gives 10 years’ warranty — and we make sure you get it

Deye’s global datasheet says 5 years’ warranty, but for installations in Europe Deye’s own 10-year factory warranty applies — and it covers exactly the models we fit. The first 5 years are parts and labour, the second 5 years parts. You only get that full 10 years if it’s done properly: bought through the official distributor and your inverter registered. We arrange that, so you don’t end up stuck on 5 years — or less.

Which Deye suits you

As with any brand, that depends on your connection:

Which one fits your home, we match to your consumption and your connection — our general approach is in Why we choose the inverter that fits your home.

“5 years” and “10 years” are both correct

Confusing, but true. Deye’s international datasheet says 5 years — that’s the worldwide baseline. For European installations Deye publishes a separate 10-year warranty that covers our models (SG05LP1 and SG05LP3). So in Spain it is 10 years — provided the conditions are met.

You don’t get the second 5 years automatically: they hang on an official purchase and a registered inverter. Skip that, and you stay on 5.

How we secure your full 10 years

We do the three things that lock the 10 years in:

  • Official distributor — we buy Deye through the official channel (verifiable with Deye’s 8-digit distributor code), not grey-imported.
  • Registration — we register your inverter with its serial number at Deye.
  • Documentation — invoice and installation paperwork kept in order, so a claim runs smoothly later.

That way your warranty isn’t a promise on paper but genuinely arranged. A quote that only says “5 years”, or supplies a cheaper grey-market unit, leaves that second 5 years on the table.

Do ask, with any Deye quote: does it name the EU version (-EU), and will the inverter be registered? If not, that second 5 years isn’t certain.

What you get for it

  • 10 years of certainty — the first 5 years parts and labour, the second 5 years parts.
  • Real service — through the official distributor (with a technical service in Spain), not a supplier who disappears after the sale.
  • Legal and correct — the EU version, registered and compliant with the Spanish standard.

What we do for you

We choose the Deye that fits your home (single- or three-phase), buy it officially, register it in your name and lock in the full 10 years — and we explain why. So you know exactly what you’re getting, and for how long.

If you’re gathering quotes — and you should — this is the one thing worth checking on every single one of them. Ask each installer for the exact type including the -EU suffix, and ask whether they register the serial number. It’s a fair question and any decent installer will answer it happily. Ask us for references from customers near you while you’re at it.
