The work

Keeping them clean and repaired

Saharan dust (calima) and sea salt build up on your panels, and with so little rain on the Costa Blanca it doesn't wash off by itself — especially on flat roofs, where the rain barely carries the dirt away. Dirty panels lose 5 to 25% of their output. We clean them properly with lukewarm water and a soft brush, never with a pressure washer (which causes micro-scratches and leaks). We also check your inverter, connections and monitoring periodically, and repair what's broken — even on systems someone else fitted. No call centre, but an installer from nearby.

Frequently asked questions

The questions we're asked most about maintenance and cleaning.

How often should my panels be cleaned?

Usually once or twice a year is enough — rain does a lot of the work. But on our coast the calima (Saharan dust), together with pollen and sea salt, makes panels dirty faster, and after a heavy calima an extra clean can pay off. Dirt drops your output noticeably, so keeping them clean pays for itself.

Can't I clean my panels myself?

Panels at eye level you can rinse gently with clean water. But if your system is up on the roof, better to leave it to us — working at height is risky, and with the wrong brush, a pressure hose or a cleaning product you'll scratch the glass in no time. A scratch costs more output than the dirt itself, and can affect your warranty. We use the right materials and check over your whole system while we're at it.

Do you also maintain systems I bought elsewhere?

Yes. We clean, check and repair systems of any make — even if you didn't buy them from us. Whether your system is ours or from another installer you can no longer reach, we'll help you out.

How quickly do you come out for a fault?

Quickly — a fault means less or no output, so we tackle it as a priority. We work along the whole coast, so we're usually nearby and can book you in fast. That way you're not left idle for weeks.
