Cost and grants
How quickly do solar panels pay for themselves?
On the Costa Blanca usually in 5 to 7 years, and with the grants and the many hours of sun even in 4 to 6. In your tailored quote we work it out for your own roof.
Which grants and discounts can I get?
Depending on your municipality: the habitual-residence grant (up to 40%, max €3,000), up to 50% off the IBI (council property tax) and the IRPF (income-tax) deduction. Grants change from year to year and from town to town, so at the survey we check what applies at that moment.
What does an installation cost?
That depends on your roof, your usage and the system. With our price estimate you can make a good rough estimate up front, before you even enquire. After that we prepare a tailored quote with a layout of your roof — no surprises afterwards.
Get a price estimateHow does payment work?
30% on order, 60% on installation day once it works, and the final 10% once your boletín and registration proof are in — usually about three weeks later. Always by bank transfer, never cash or card at the door.
Do I get paid for the power I feed back?
Yes. The power you have spare and feed back to the grid is credited on your bill through your energy retailer — the compensación de excedentes (surplus compensation). We arrange registering it as part of the legalisation.
Can I pay for my installation in instalments?
Yes, we offer finance through a reliable partner. That partner works out your monthly amount and whether you qualify — with your authority, we take that off your hands. You'll receive a proposal by email from the partner; agree and sign, and we carry out the installation. You own the system from day one.

Why do you only fit glass-glass?
On the salt coast the panel makes the difference. Glass-glass lets no moisture in between the layers, is safer in a fire and degrades far more slowly than glass-foil — more yield, for years longer, and for barely more money.
What warranty do I get?
A 25 to 30-year product warranty on the glass-glass panels, plus a 10-year installation warranty from us.
Which brands do you work with?
We work with several well-regarded brands. Which brand we recommend depends on your own preference, your budget and what best suits your wishes — grid-tied or off-grid, with or without a battery, the roof space available and how important fire safety is to you. We settle that together in the conversation, and you'll see it in your tailored quote.
How long does the installation take?
The installation itself usually takes 1 to 2 days. From order to a working system you're generally done within six weeks.
Who connects the installation — is it safe?
The connection to your consumer unit and the official certificate (the boletín) is always done by a certified specialist electrician. That way your installation is safe, insured and certified.

In Spain every solar installation is legally required to have protective devices: fuses, an isolator, surge and earth-leakage protection and a proper earth — together in a protection enclosure. With us that's included in the price as standard, fitted by our certified electrician.

Can it work for a flat or a comunidad?
Yes. For an apartment block or comunidad de propietarios we set up autoconsumo colectivo (collective self-consumption) — a shared installation whose yield is split per home, with the saving per owner. And you don't need everyone's agreement: a third of the owners is enough.

Certainly. In the hinterland, where a grid connection costs a fortune, we install full off-grid systems with batteries, sized to your usage and legally registered with Industria.
Read about on- and off-gridWhat extra is involved with an off-grid system?
Off-grid runs your house independently of the grid on your own sun and battery. On top of a standard installation come a battery, a backup/switchover box and extra protection — the battery is the biggest extra item. We size, fit and register it all for you.

Often, yes. A home battery stores your daytime surplus for the evening, so you use more of your own sun and buy less expensive power from the grid.
Read about home batteriesDo you also work on existing installations?
Yes — including installations someone else fitted. We expand with extra panels or a battery, convert to off-grid, repair and maintain (cleaning against the calima).
Read about expanding and maintenanceDo you also fit charging points, and do they need to be legalised?
Yes, we fit charging points for electric cars. A charging point also has to be officially legalised — memoria, boletín and registration — and, just as with solar panels, we take that fully off your hands.

What language can you help me in?
In Dutch, Spanish, English, German or French — everything you arrange with us: advice, your quote, the paperwork, the planning and the aftercare. The on-site survey and the installation itself are handled by our installers, who work in English or Spanish. From Norway or Sweden? Then we help you in English.
Do I need a permit for solar panels?
Usually not. In the Comunitat Valenciana — the whole Costa Blanca — the building permit for roof solar panels has been abolished; a simple notification is enough. Only for listed buildings, the historic centre or rural land might more be needed.
Read more about permitsDo you arrange the permits and the legalisation?
Yes, we take the whole paperwork off your hands: the registration with the grid operator, the permits and the legalisation (memoria técnica, boletín, registration with Industria).
Read how we do itDo you also work in my town?
Our service area is the coast from Torrevieja to Valencia and the valleys up to about 30 to 45 minutes inland. On the service-area page you'll see the map; if your town isn't listed, do ask — we often work there too.
See the service areaCan everything be arranged if I'm away part of the year?
Largely, yes. The permits, the legalisation and the monitoring we arrange remotely. For the survey and the installation, though, someone does need to be able to give access to the house — a neighbour, family member, key holder or property manager. The rest we coordinate remotely and keep you posted.
