The situation
A detached villa near Alicante with a tiled roof over several faces wanted the electricity bill down sharply and as much of its own solar as possible for the house and the terrace.
Our story
A detached villa near Alicante running on its own solar as much as possible: 13 JA Solar glass-glass panels of 465 Wp on the tiled roof (6.0 kWp), a Growatt inverter with grid assist and a battery — so the house and terrace run on their own solar by day and in the evening, with the grid as backup. Legally registered.

The challenge
Spread the panels neatly across the different faces of the tiled roof, and set up a system with a battery that runs the house and terrace on their own solar as much as possible by day and in the evening — with the grid as backup, sized to the real consumption and legalised so insurance and resale are covered.
Chapter 3
Our approach
We fitted 13 JA Solar glass-glass panels of 465 Wp, 6.0 kWp together, spread across the roof faces. We tied those to a Growatt SPF 6000 ES Plus inverter (6 kW) with grid assist and a Growatt AXE battery of around 10 kWh, so the house and terrace run on their own solar as much as possible by day and in the evening; whatever the sun and the battery don't cover, the grid tops up. We registered the whole system legally.
