Chapter 1
A detached villa with a pool in Orihuela Costa — a traditional tiled roof, plenty of sun, but the power still came from the grid. The pool, the air-conditioning and the lighting drove the bill up, and the owners were away part of the year. They wanted to run on their own solar rather than a rising grid price.
Chapter 2
Run the villa on its own solar as much as possible — by day and in the evening — and lean as little as possible on the rising grid price. All fully legalised, neatly worked into a tiled roof with several faces, and arranged while the owners were in the Netherlands part of the year.
Chapter 3
We fitted 11 glass-glass panels (JA Solar 465 Wp, 5.1 kWp together) on the best-placed roof faces and tied in a hybrid Growatt SPH 5000TL BL-UP inverter (5 kW, dual MPPT) and a Growatt ARK battery of around 10 kWh — sized to measure, so the villa runs on its own solar by day and in the evening instead of on the grid. The legalisation — memoria técnica, boletín and registration with Industria — and the remote monitoring we handled in full, in your own language.

The home battery (around 10 kWh) stores the day's sun for the evening, so the pool and air-conditioning run on their own output instead of the grid.

30 yrs
A 25-year product warranty on the JA Solar glass-glass panels and 30 years on the output — still 87.4% after 30 years. The Growatt inverter carries a 5-year warranty and the Growatt ARK battery 10 years.
