The owners of a detached villa with a pool in Torrevieja watched the summer bill climb steeply — the pool pump and the air-conditioning run hardest just when the sun is at its fiercest. They wanted their own power, but with the quality this salt coast demands.

Save substantially on a high summer consumption, fit panels that last for decades by the sea, and keep the power on when the grid drops — all neatly tucked away on the roof and connected to the villa's three-phase supply.

We fitted 12 glass-glass panels (JA Solar 465 Wp, 5.58 kWp together) with Enphase IQ8HC microinverters — the conversion happens on the roof, so there's no inverter box in the house and the least that can go wrong. For the evening and the backup we added an Enphase IQ Battery 5P (5 kWh), tied into the three-phase supply through the IQ System Controller. All handled, in your own language.

The IQ Battery 5P stores the day's sun for the evening, so the villa runs on its own output instead of the grid — and during an outage the essentials stay on.

30 yrs
A 25-year product warranty on the glass-glass panels and 30 years on the output — still 87.4% after 30 years, quality for the salt coast. The inverters carry a 25-year warranty and the battery 15 years.
